About FreeToolkit
We build free, browser-based tools that replace expensive software subscriptions — so individuals, freelancers, and small businesses can access professional-grade tools without paying hundreds of dollars a year.
Our Mission
Professional software has become genuinely useful — but also genuinely expensive. QuickBooks charges $30–200 per month. YNAB costs $99 a year. HR Block charges per return. LegalZoom charges per document. For the 59 million freelancers and 33 million small businesses in the US alone, these costs add up fast.
FreeToolkit was built on a simple premise: the core functionality of most productivity tools — calculations, generators, analyzers, formatters — can be delivered entirely in the browser, for free, without collecting your data or locking you into a subscription.
We cover 12 categories: business, finance, legal, HR, real estate, health, marketing, developer tools, AI tools, design, education, and utilities — with 115+ tools and counting.
How It Works
Every tool on FreeToolkit runs entirely in your browser. There is no backend server processing your financial data, health information, or business documents. When you enter data into our budget planner or invoice generator, that data stays in your browser — in localStorage or IndexedDB, depending on the tool.
We never transmit your data to our servers. We never sell your data to third parties. We are not a data broker dressed up as a free tool.
The site is supported by advertising (Google AdSense). That is the only monetization model. The ads pay for hosting and development. The tools remain free.
Who We Are
FreeToolkit is an independent project, not a VC-backed startup optimizing for growth metrics. We are developers who got tired of paying for software that does simple calculations we could build ourselves — and decided to build them and share them publicly.
We have no investors, no growth targets, and no plans to add paywalls. The goal is to build genuinely useful tools and keep them free.
A Note on Accuracy
Our calculators and tools are designed to give you accurate, useful estimates for planning and decision-making. Tax calculators use current federal brackets. Financial calculators use standard formulas. Legal document generators follow common practices.
However, FreeToolkit tools are not a substitute for professional advice. Tax situations vary. Legal requirements differ by jurisdiction. Medical information on our site is for general reference only. For important decisions — filing taxes, signing contracts, making major financial choices, or addressing health concerns — consult a qualified professional.
